Expert ecological services at a competitive price
We have a wide network of associates and we can assemble a team of specialists to deliver your project quickly and without the large overheads of some bigger consultancies. We provide expert advice and look for pragmatic, cost effective ways to address planning, policy and legal constraints.
Ecology Partners offers a full range of ecological surveys with a particular specialism in botanical work.
Botanical and habitat assessment services
As consultant ecologists, assessing and valuing habitats is our business. Most of the habitats we look at are essentially ‘made’ of plants, or vegetation, upon which other species depend. We believe that accurate plant identification lies at the heart of successful ecological assessment.
Our habitat assessment surveys (including Phase 1 Habitat surveys and PEAs) are always carried out by experienced, qualified field botanists. This means we can accurately identify constraints at the earliest opportunity and reduce the risk of costly delays down the line when your project is at a critical stage.
Our skill and experience means that we regularly undertake detailed botanical surveys for government agencies, conservation charities and local authorities. We have a proven track record of working with clients such as Natural England, Defence Estates, the National Trust and Cornwall Wildlife Trust.
For example, data we collected during a recent survey of over 150 sites across the Mid-Cornwall Moors played a key role in Natural England’s decision to designate a new Site of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI) including some great Cornish landmarks such as Goss Moor and Helman Tor.
